The EPC Contest Committee has received 282 logs for the European PSK DX Contest 2008 from 56 DXCC countries: 4L, 9A, 9H, 9V, BY, CN, CT, DL, E7, EA, EA6, EA8, ER, EU, F, FO, G, GM, GW, HA, HB9, HS, I, J3, JA, K, KL7, KP4, LY, LZ, OE, OH, OK, OM, ON, PA, PY, S5, SM, SP, SV, SV9, TA, UA0, UA1, UN, UR, VE, VR, VU, YB, YL, YO, YU, YV, and Z3. Through our judgment software (W3KM) we could manage to cross-check QSOs within the received logs, and found approx 519 stations (operators) who made more than 3 contacts during the contest and never sent their logs to the Contest Committee. The list of these stations is published in the official Contest Results 2008. We can assume that there were more than 800 participants this year, and only 35% of them submitted their logs. Sergey Zhemaytis RU3QR (EPC # 16) leads the EU Stations – Low Power category with a score of 459296 (new record). Peter Pilipchuk UR7TZ is second with a score of 263652 and Dmitry Sokolov RX1CQ (EPC # 127) is in third place with a score of 258687. The top entrants in the EU Stations - High Power category are Vladimir Zherebyev RV3WT with a score of 504441 (new record), Alexander Ksenofontov RD3PM (EPC # 3396) with a score of 471514 and Ludek Salac OK1VSL (EPC # 1016) is in third place with a score of 444780. Alexey Miroyedov UN7CN takes the top position in the DX Stations - Low Power category with a score of 14416, William Sheehan KB3LIX takes second position with a score of 7904 (new North American record in this category), followed by C. K. Raman VU3DJQ (EPC # 1167) with a score of 6880. Roberto Moises Zunta PY2DN (EPC # 1945) is the highest South American station in this category with a score of 3366 (new record), and Rusdy Indra YB0KYM (EPC # 1577) takes the top position in Oceania with a score of 110 only. This year we have not received logs from African participants in the Low Power category. |
